A recently obtained access-to-information request from Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NLHS) reveals 741 vacancies for Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), and Licensed Practical Nurse positions in October 2024.
There were 229 LPN vacancies, with 52 in Central, 15 in Eastern Rural, 135 in Eastern Urban, 20 in Labrador-Grenfell, and 7 in Western.
There were 76 NP vacancies, with 19 in Central, 16 in Eastern Rural, 23 in Eastern Urban, 9 in Labrador-Grenfell, and 9 in Western.
There were 436 RN vacancies, with 88 in Central, 80 in Eastern Rural, 196 in Eastern Urban, 47 in Labrador-Grenfell, and 25 in Western.
