
A recently obtained freedom-of-information request reveals that the Manitoba Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care (MHSLTC) spent $1,565,495.49 on staffing agency nurses from February 21, 2024, to April 9, 2024.
The funds were for three provincial nursing stations. $516,820.23 was spent at Easterville, $421,087.80 at Grand Rapid, and $627,587.46 at Moose Lake.
The record does not include costs related to staffing agency nurses for the Health System Delivery Organizations as that falls under Shared Health.
