A recently obtained freedom-of-information request reveals that the Manitoba Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care (MHSLTC) spent $62,334,999.88 on staffing agency nurses from 1999/00 to 2024/25 (as of May 27, 2024).

The record includes staffing agency nurses that fall under the Department, the Northern Nursing Stations. Costs related to staffing agency nurses for the Health System/Regional Health Authorities are under Shared Health Manitoba.
