A recently obtained freedom-of-information request reveals that the Manitoba Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care (MHSLTC) spent $3,569,684.25 on staffing agency nurses from August 31, 2024, to February 21, 2024.

The funds were for three provincial nursing stations. $1,547,897.38 was spent at Easterville, $1,245,469.40 at Grand Rapid, and $1,166,317.47 at Moose Lake.

The record does not include costs related to staffing agency nurses for the Health System Delivery Organizations as that falls under Shared Health.
