A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals a list of 105 positions eliminated across Memorial University as part of its 2026 workforce realignment.
Memorial previously stated that 107 positions were eliminated but now says that a final decision has not yet been made regarding the proposed elimination of two positions, so they were excluded from the ATIPP document.
Memorial also stated that, for privacy reasons, it could not release whether the positions were eliminated through the Voluntary Retirement Program, through Non-VRP Retirement, because they were vacant, or through involuntary position closures.
The 105 positions eliminated are listed below by unit:
