A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals the City of St. John’s spent $888,396 on the 2025 Canada Summer Games from March 19, 2025, to June 19, 2025.
As previously reported, from January 1, 2020, to March 18, 2025, the City of St. John’s spent $14,917,587 on the 2025 Canada Summer Games.
To date, Memorial University has spent $18,071,133, the Department of Tourism has spent $10,186,000, the Department of Education has spent $19,039,400, the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure has spent $15,443,622.79, and the City of St. John’s has spent $15,805,983. The total spent by all five bodies is $78,219,960.55.
