A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals the City of St. John’s spent $7,474,521 on the 2025 Canada Summer Games from April 17, 2024, to March 18, 2025.
As previously reported, from January 1, 2020, to April 15, 2025, the City of St. John’s spent $7,443,066 on the 2025 Canada Summer Games.
To date, The Department of Education has spent $19,039,400, The Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation has spent $9,961,000, Memorial University has spent $8,464,862.76, and the City of St. John’s has spent $14,917,587. The total spent by all four bodies is $52,377,849.76.
