A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals that the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure spent $23,350,594 to operate the Bell Island ferry service in 2023. The revenue was $825,829 and the total number of paying customers was 385,500.
