A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals that the Government of Yukon’s Department of Health and Social Services spent $6,521,263.22 on agency nurses from January 1, 2006, to July 1, 2024. The years 2007 to 2015 and 2018 and 2019 were excluded from this total since no payments were made during those years.
The companies included CANADIAN HEALTH LABS, BAYSHORE HEALTHCARE LTD, CALIAN LTD, and VENTURE HEALTHCARE INC.
$17,865.01 was spent in 2006, $192,692.98 in 2016, $45,878.17 in 2017, $1,069,656.16 in 2020, $1,182,632.01 in 2021, $1,306,534.34 in 2022, $1,949,168.1 in 2023, and $756,836.45 in 2024.
