
A recently obtained access-to-information reveals the recorded behavioral incidents with students by year in K-12 schools from 2015-2016 to 2023-2024.
For each year, the incidents of chronic noncompliance, disruptive behaviour, and disorderly conduct had the highest numbers.
Behavioural incidents of five or less were excluded because the Department argued that it could possibly identify a student, which they state is known as the “mosaic effect,” when a combination of portions of data produce a picture that was not apparent from the individual pieces.
