The Graduate Students’ Union of Memorial University of Newfoundland has released its 2026-27 election results, with four of the five executive positions filled by acclamation.
The executive directors acclaimed were Abdulrazaq Opeyemi Sefiu (External Affairs), Jacob Hoare (Finance), Gaayathri Sukantha Murugan (Communications), and Ben Roque (Campus Life).
The only contested race was for Executive Director of Academics, where Iyanu Joshua Gbiri defeated Md Nurul Hasan Shimul by a margin of 124 votes to 69.
