Memorial University has released the full cost of the services it provides to its separately incorporated entity, the Canadian Centre for Fisheries Innovation.

A previous ATIPP request revealed that Memorial provides $38,926 in services but redacted three sections claiming that it would be harmful to the business interests of a third party. A complaint was filed with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner and throughout the investigation Memorial agreed to release the information.

The three sections redacted in the previous ATIPP include Administration of HR (Payroll, HR, Leave) at $1,027, Accounting Services at $2,080, and Computer Service Support at $4,160.

The total for all services is $46,194.

One day for each staff in HR is provided for annual service to CCFI. Accounting is provided at $80 per hour for one hour per two weeks and includes purchasing, accounts payable travel processing, cashiering and deposits for payment, and general accounting setup. Computer service is provided per ICT for various support efforts for website and desktop support, estimated to be one hour per week, annually, at $80 per hour.
