The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner has launched an investigation into my complaint that Memorial University refused to release the document “A Report and Proposed Policy and Procedures Amendments to the Memorial University of Newfoundland Student Code of Conduct (2014).”
External Consultant Sheila Devine prepared the report for Dr. Donna Hardy Cox, the Associate Vice-President (Academic) Students in the Office of Provost and Vice-President (Academic). It was dated July 6, 2020.
Memorial redacted most of the report pursuant to section 29. (1) (a) (policy advice or recommendation) even though it is in the public interest for the report to be released.
Matt Barter is a fourth-year student in the Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty at Memorial University of Newfoundland, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Sociology. He enjoys reading thought-provoking articles, walks in nature, and volunteering in the community.
