A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals that the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Labrador Affairs officials have attended 44 trips outside the province and country since the Liberals took government in 2015.
The cities include Ottawa, Toronto, Iqaluit, Quebec City, Winnipeg, and Montreal.
Some of the events department officials attended include Northern Lights Conference, Northern Development Minister’s Forum Senior Officials Working Group Planning Meetings, Northern Lights Trade Show, Nutrition North Canada Stakeholder Meeting, Artic Policy Framework meeting, and National Transportation Adaptation Initiative Meeting.
