A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals that the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Office of Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation officials have attended 100 trips outside the province and country since the Liberals took government in 2015.

Some of the events attended include Innu Treaty Negotiations, FPTI Meetings, LILCA Implementation Committee Meeting, Northern Development Ministers Forum, Innu Land Claims negotiations, NIO Emergency meeting for Indigenous children in care, and National Indigenous Women’s Summitt.
