A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals that the Minister, Deputy Minister, and Assistant Deputy Ministers in the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development have attended 34 trips outside the province and country since the Liberals took government in 2015.

The department sent Ministers to Vancouver, Fredericton, Halifax, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Charlottetown, Whitehorse, Calgary, Saskatoon, Regina, Victoria, Gatineau, Toronto, and Yellowknife.

Some of the events attended include F-P/T Meetings for Ministers Responsible for Seniors, Atlantic Ministers Responsible for Social Services meetings, Federal-Provincial Innu Road Table, 2018 Northern Lights Conference, and Pan Canadian DM meeting on accessibility.
