
A recently obtained ATIPP request reveals the number of student code of conduct complaints at Memorial University from January 1, 2015, to May 26, 2022. 450 students were accused of violating the code, 191 students were found guilty, and 0 students were suspended or expelled.
For those students found guilty, disciplinary action included monetary fines, educational/awareness sessions, letter of apology and/or reflective essay, probation period, unregistered and/or voluntarily withdrawal, no contact order, consult, other imposed sanctions (e.g., community service work, banned from areas of campus, etc.).
