A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals that Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services spent $7,030,000 on staffing agency nurses in January 2026.
$1,830,000 was spent in the Eastern Zone, $2,500,000 in the Central Zone, $2,070,000 in the Western Zone, and $630,000 in the Labrador-Grenfell Zone.
The total spent on agency nurses to the end of December 2025 was $358,611,554, so the total is now $365,641,554.
