A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals that Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services spent $5,676,000 on staffing agency nurses in December 2025.
$407,000 was spent in the Eastern Urban Zone, $515,000 in the Eastern Rural Zone, $2,600,000 in the Central Zone, $1,500,000 in the Western Zone, and $654,000 in the Labrador-Grenfell Zone.
The total spent on agency nurses to the end of November 2025 was $352,935,554, so the total is now $358,611,554.
