A recently obtained access-to-information request from Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services reveals the number of hours of paid and unpaid sick leave for Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) from January 1, 2015, to October 31, 2024.
The total was 216,887.82 sick leave hours in 2015 and 396,605.23 hours in 2023—a 82.86 percent increase.
