A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals the total number of students registered with Accessibility Services at Marine Institute and the number of exams accommodated by semester from Fall 2012-13 to Winter/Spring 2023-24.
In Fall 2012-13, 12 students were registered, and 53 exams were accommodated. In Winter/Spring 2012-13, 16 students were registered, and 60 exams were accommodated.
In Fall 2013-14, 26 students were registered, and 63 exams were accommodated. In Winter/Spring 2013-14, 28 students were registered, and 50 exams were accommodated.
In Fall 2014-15, 32 students were registered, and 76 exams were accommodated. In Winter/Spring 2014-15, 24 students were registered, and 67 exams were accommodated.
In 2015-16, 40 students were registered, and 102 exams were accommodated. There is no data available for the Winter/Spring 2015-16 semester.
In Fall 2016-17, 49 students were registered, and 158 exams were accommodated. In Winter/Spring 2016-17, 45 students were registered, and 127 exams were accommodated.
In Fall 2017-18, 45 students were registered, and the number of exams accommodated is not available. In Winter/Spring 2017-18, 47 students were registered, and 164 exams were accommodated.
In Fall 2018-19, 50 students were registered, and 146 exams were accommodated. In Winter/Spring 2018-10, 42 students were registered, and 146 exams were accommodated.
In Fall 2019-20, 67 students were registered, and 230 exams were accommodated. In Winter 2019-20, 60 students were registered, and 166 exams were accommodated.
In Fall 2020-21, 59 students were registered, and 141 exams were accommodated. In Winter 2020, 193 exams were accommodated in person prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, 120 exams were accommodated online, and 18 deferred exams were accommodated online. In Spring 2020, 9 tests were accommodated online and 28 finals.
In Fall 2021-22, 74 students were registered, and 127 exams were accommodated. In Winter/Spring 2021-20, 67 students were registered, and 95 exams were accommodated.
In Fall 2022-23, 82 students were registered, and 123 exams were accommodated. In Winter/Spring 2022-23, 73 students were registered, and 104 exams were accommodated.
In Fall 2023-24, 84 students were registered, and 101 exams were accommodated. In Winter/Spring 2023-24, 81 students were registered, and 100 exams were accommodated.
The total number of exams accommodated from Fall 2012-13 to Winter/Spring 2023-24 was 2,767.
