A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals that the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Education and Department of Health and Community Services provided a one-time adjustment to Memorial University’s operating grant in 2023-24 to offset the increased expenditure related to the MUN Faculty Association salary increases. The Department of Health and Community Services also provided a one-time adjustment for the 2022-23 retroactive pay.
