A recently obtained Right-to-Information (RTIPP) request reveals that the Vitalité Health Network in New Brunswick spent $68,458,891 on staffing agency nurses from September 1, 2023, to March 13, 2024.
The nursing agencies were Canadian Health Labs (CHL), People 2.0 Workforce Services Canada, Goodwill Staffing & Recruitment, and Agence SPI.
FOR CHL, the cost was $26,751,558 in Moncton, $2,045,873 in Edmundston, $7,912,594 in Campbellton, $10,582,679 in Bathurst, and $2,277,989 in Autres, for a total cost of $49,570,684.
For People 2.0, the cost was $3,520,266 in Moncton, $338,422 in Edmundston, $6,109,789 in Campbellton, and $3,968,478 in Bathurst, for a total cost of $13,936,955.
For Goodwill Staffing, the cost was $1,871,531 in Moncton, $191,086 in Edmundston, $1,796,961 in Campbellton, and $595,202 in Bathurst, for a total cost of $4,454,780.
For Agence SPI, the costs were $496,472 in Campbellton.
The total cost of all agencies was $32,143,355 in Moncton, $2,575,381 in Edmundston, $16,315,816 in Campbellton, $15,146,350 in Bathurst, and $2,277,989 in Autres.
The total hours were 93,892 in Moncton, 9,052 in Edmundston, 80,835 in Campbellton, and 53,404 in Bathurst. The hours were not provided for Autres. The total hours for all regions were 237,183.
