A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals that the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Health and Community Services spent $94,990.08 on recruitment trips from December 2022 to February 2024.

The December 2022 trip in Charlottetown PEI totalled $5,404.93, the January 2023 trip in several cities in Ireland for the mission for recruitment of physicians and nurses totalled $37,954.26, the March 2023 trip in several cities in the United Kingdom for healthcare recruitment meetings totalled $6,538.81, and the February 2024 trip in Dubai, UAE for a recruitment fair totalled $6,538.81.
