Odgers Berndtson created a candidate brief for Memorial University’s Chief Risk Officer in November 2019, including a description of the position. The CRO reports to the Vice-President (Administration and Finance) and oversees a portfolio including Campus Enforcement and Patrol, Emergency Management, Environment Health and Safety, Risk and Insurance, and the Assessment and Care Protocol. 

A list of items for the CRO to devote their time and attention includes ensuring the smooth operation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, that the OCRO’s key strategic priorities adhere to and are consistent with Memorial’s values, maintaining relationships with the university community to develop strategies and report on the status of plans and risk assessments, etc.
