A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals that there were 1,278 failing grades on the Math Placement Test at Memorial University from 2018 to 2024.
Memorial noted that a failing grade is considered to be anything less than a 50. However, there are score thresholds for various math courses. A mark of 50 is required for Math 1050, a mark of 55 for Math 1090, and a mark of 75 for Math 1000.
