
A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals that Memorial University’s Sexual Harassment Office received 32 complaints of sexual assault or sexual harassment from January 7, 2023, to January 26, 2024. There were also 132 consultations.
A consultation is when someone meets with a Sexual Harassment Office staff person regarding a concern of sexual violence. A complaint is a statement of allegation concerning any form of sexual violence by a Complainant seeking recourse pursuant to policy and procedures.
