
Memorial University Provost and Vice-President (Academic) Jennifer Lokash stated to The Muse that the university has increased the scholarships for incoming international students from $4,000 to $6,000.
Lokash said they’ve given out approximately $350,000 to incoming international undergraduate students in the past few years. In addition, the university also offers the International Undergraduate Academic Award for students beyond the first year at $3,000 per award.
She also noted that there is special funding for “students at risk” and mentioned students coming from places like Ukraine and Afghanistan or other countries in turmoil.
