In the May 2026 work report of Graduate Students’ Union (GSU) Executive Director of Campus Life Ben Roqu, he stated that the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) denied the GSU’s request for an email list of graduate students or for SGS to forward on a regular email to students from the GSU.
“SGS said in no uncertain terms that an email list would not be provided without signature of MOU,” stated Roqu.
According to Roqu, SGS stated that any information forwarded to graduate students would not include event information and would only do so in “extremely limited circumstances.”
Roqu cited SGS sending out information about a GSU vote earlier this year as an example.
