Posters appearing to support the dissolution of the Graduate Students’ Union (GSU) have been spotted on Memorial University’s campus. The posters include statements from GSU social media posts.
One poster reads, “Hi and what about the financial statements? I might myself at least sent 3-4 emails to you personally requesting those, but I think getting reply on social media is faster than official means.”
Another reads, “Saying we would be a ‘liability’ if we had a new union negotiating plans and fees completely ignores the fact that the GSU has become a liability itself.”
Another states, “The points you’re making are reinforcing that we are to pay back YOUR debt due to the misappropriation of funds that you still haven’t been able to be transparent about.”
Another reads, “We want to know where our money was spent illegally. WE WANT POLICE INVESTIGATION. Loud and Clear.”
