A recently obtained access-to-information request reveals briefing materials prepared by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Municipal and Provincial Affairs for December 2024, including Approval and Registration of proposed St. John Urban Region Regional Plan Amendment 4, 2023 proposed by the Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip to Align with Amendments to the Town Planning Documents Decision/Direction Note, Tilt Cove Relocation – Agreement Procedure Decision/Direction Note, Mud Lake Relocation Residency Determination Direction/Decision Note, and Permit to Occupy Property in the Evacuated Communities of Grand Bruit and Round Harbour Decision/Direction Note.
